InshaAllah we are entering to the month of Muharram. We don’t know what this month of Muharram, this new year is brining to this world but definitely it’s not something good waiting for the Children of Adam through this new year because so many events has to happen before good things start happening again. Anybody wants safety from among the Muslims must have Sejdah. If Muslims are not having Sejdah, there is no safety for them from what’s coming ahead.

Allah subhana wa ta’ala is sending His mercy to us, He is reminding us, He is sending messages to us, saying to us, `This is what I have created you for. I have created you for My service. You are doing everything other than My service. If you ask forgiveness, turn back to Me, go to Sejdah and you will find Me forgiving you. If not then you are preparing punishment to yourselves.’

Everything has a price to pay, wake up to yourself.Don’t damage your own self, and don’t damage others.Islam is saying to us—: only believers they are running to protect each other, not falling into the trouble. And if they’re running into the trouble, another believer must run to hold that one, to say “brother this is the wrong way.” He has to give something from himself to run to bring the other one to the right road.

The Story Of Shah Bahauddin Naksibend Hz. And The ‘Good’ Man

BismillahirRahmanirRahim

Once Shah Bahauddin Naksibend (qs) was passing by from somewhere and there was a good man doing things, living a good life but not carrying the orders of Allah (swt). He looked at him, at the good man, he was doing good things but something was missing from him.

That night, in his dream that good man is seeing Shah Naksibend. The man said to himself, “What a beautiful man this is.” So Shah Bahauddin Naksibend smiled to him, came near him and he took a mirror and said to, “Look in here.” So he(the good man) looked into the mirror and he saw himself in the mirror. So ugly creature. He is seeing himself. Shah Naksibend asked him, “Do you see what’s in here?” The man said, “Yes, it’s myself.” Shah Naksibend explained, “Yes, that’s how you are appearing in the Real world. So the angels are not looking at you. They have covered you. Although you are doing good things but you are not keeping the laws of Allah, you are not keeping your prayers. So you are appearing very ugly.”

Shah Naksibend walked away and that man woke up from the dream. He was shivering, paranoid saying, “What an ugly creature I am. I always thought I was someone.” He was looking at the mirror always but he saw his reality in the hand of the Awliya and he decided to be a good one. He wrote down that dream somewhere. Seven years passed.

Religion? Religion has become a joke. Ritual. Tasawwuf, Sufism is a play, it’s a game, it’s a feel good. And if they see anything that has some discipline. If they see anything that has some toughness, they say, ‘no brother, this spirituality is all about love.’ And their meaning of love means you can let your ego to do as you like. That is love. SubhanaAllah. May Allah protect us from that kind of thinking and that kind of life.

We Are Approaching The Days Of Muharram

BismillahirRahmanriRahim

Alhamdulillah, with the blessings of Allah swt, we have just passed through the days of Hajj, the days of Qurban, and slowly we are approaching to the days of Muhharam and towards the Holy day of Ashura. In times like this, in these times that are special and sacred in the sight of Allah swt and His Prophet, believers need to stop and take account of themselves.

Believers need to sit down and ask themselves, ‘Where am I this year? where was I last year?’ as our Sheykh, SahibulSaif Sheykh Abdul Kerim el-Kibrisi el-Rabbani is saying: look at yourself. You must check yourself. Check your heart. Don’t let anybody say anything to you and get fooled by anyone. No. Sit alone in your room for ten minutes, 15 minutes and say to yourself sincerely, look at me, are you really living for Allah or are you really living for your ego? Check yourself and you will find out. You will know by yourself. Your heart will scream to you. The sound that is coming from the heart will take over you. You will hear the voices coming from all over. And Allah swt put so many situation, so many different things in front of us, to make us to wake up and to take account of ourselves.

WHAT IS BEYAT?

Beyat means taking an oath, swearing to Allah. They swore that they will not separate from the Prophet (alayhi salatu wa salam) no matter what happens. They will not leave him and if it’s necessary then they will all die. Prophet (asws) put his hand and everyone put their hands on the Prophet’s hand and Allah is saying, “Allah’s Hand is on all of you.” Meaning, “Allah’s protection is on all of you as long as you are with that Prophet.” And they gave their beyat to the Prophet (asws). They swore that they are never going to betray the Prophet (asws) and they swore that whatever is going to happen they are going to continue with that beyat until they die.

You Cannot Have Ten Different Sheykhs

BismillahirRahmanirRahim

Can you go, at the same time to ten different schools?

Say. If you are studying, if you go into the school of New York university and you register there, can you take your books next day to say, ‘ I am going to the Harvard and to enter to a classroom to continue today my lesson what I learn yesterday in my classroom.’ Can you do that? Can you do that?’ No.

Every Tariqat has different teaching methods. As I have just said, some tariqat is teaching just like the army way, Order. Some tariqat is making a completely easy way. Some tariqat teaches different things to individual. You cannot learn everything from every side. But you may go there to visit, for blessing, that’s a different story.

But you have to have one Sheykh. You cannot have ten sheykhs.

If you have one sheykh, when something comes to you and you ask me let’s say, I’ll tell you, ‘ This is it. This is what you’ve got to do.’ If you go at the same time asking ten different sheykh, they are going to give you ten different ideas. That doesn’t mean that those ten different ideas are wrong. No. But depending to the level of that Sheykh now. That is how he is giving to you. If he’s not too high level, he’s going to give you something that is not knowing. The guy is in the higher level, he’s going to look at you to your level.

Holy Prophet is saying, ‘ Speak to people from their language, their understanding point.’ Meaning, enter to their station, then speak to them from that station.

-Sheykh Abdul Kerim Effendi Hz.

"We Hear And We Obey"

BismillahirRahmanirRahim

Speak something that is going to give benefit to you and to others or else keep silent. These days, keeping silent  is a lost art. If they say, ‘Speech is silver, silence is golden.’  Who is keeping silent these days? Who is keeping silent, to hear and to keep silent? Or to hear, then to say, ‘I hear and I’m obeying. And forgive me.’ Instead, ‘Oh I did that because of this, because of this, because of this.’ Are we understanding, taking that and putting it into your life? Are we understanding?

One, it is a reply of what? Of Prophets and Saliheen. You are claiming that you are praying so much, you are doing so much, but you are not giving the answer of Prophets and Saliheen. Prophets and Saliheen, the ayat of Amana Rasul, they are reciting every single day. Sami’na wa ata’na ghufrânakarabbana wa-ilaikalmasīr , I hear and I obey and forgive me and my end is to return to You and not be separated from You. Take that any way you want. The more excuse you are giving, the more reasons you are giving, the more veils coming down, the more that time something that is so simple but the ego is saying, ‘no. this is difficult. This is too much.’

It is not. We don’t know what difficulty is. You don’t know what difficulty is. Especially living in the west, you don’t know what difficulty is. That’s why, little things, it becomes so much. Allah has blessed this country in so many ways. But that blessings can turn into a curse when you waste it, when we become spoilt with it, when we are not understanding that this is a blessing, this is not our right. This is a blessing. This is a gift, and it is a responsibility.

-Sheykh Hoja Lokman Efendi HZ.

ARE YOU PASSING THE TEST?

You have been created to live for Allah and to die for Allah. And everything is finishing except one thing. When the last call is calling to you saying, `Did he pass the test? Did he get his card?’ There are two ways going out from this world. The graveyard is there. The box is out there. Are you looking, are you watching, thinking, `Yes, I am going to be there one day’? If you take that seriously then you have to shake up to say, `What am I doing? Definitely I didn’t pass the test. Definitely my lifestyle is not what the Holy Prophet (sws) is showing’. Then you will shake yourself up to put yourself back to the line. Then you will forget about the problems of this world

-Sahibul Saif Sheykh Abdul Kerim El Kibrisi El Rabbani HZ.

Are You Being A Thankful Servant To Allah?

BismillahirRahmanirRahim

We don’t know what difficulty is. You don’t know what difficulty is. Especially living in the west, you don’t know what difficulty is. That’s why little things it becomes so much. Allah has blessed this country in so many ways. But those blessings can turn into a curse when you waste it, when we become spoilt with it, when we are not understanding that this is a blessing, this is not our right. This is a blessing. This is a gift and it is a responsibility. Which means, when things get tight a little bit, you are not just going to give up, to run, to throw out, and to waste. You are going to use it properly.

Look at the ease that Allah is sending you. It is not just to say, ‘syukur ya Rabbi, You are sending me this.’ I have this, I have this, I have food, I have drink, I say Syukur. But if that is threaten a little bit, then I start to give up or I get upset, or I get angry. That’s not Syukur. Syukur is to say, when you have and when you don’t have, ‘as You like Ya Rabbi. I am happy.’ To know when Allah is giving it to you, it is also a test and you share things. That if Allah is not giving to you, it is a test and there may be a blessing in it because He is not giving it to you. It is not just the material things, it is the things you have also in your life.

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The similitude of His light is as a niche wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as it were a shining star. (This lamp is) kindled from a blessed tree, an olive neither of the East nor of the West.
